LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA AMERICA
Dear JIAGGJ,Huge skyscrapers, traffic ugh!
Went to the coast. 1st stop- the tar pits where they have dug up the bones of dinosaurs, mammoths and a 2000 year old woman(not looking at her best!) and are still digging. Then Santa Monica beach - miles of white sand .Warm day but when we dipped toes in the sea they froze. The pier had a small fun -fair , not half as good as Brighton!
Lots of love to all, Grandi xxxxxx

Lovely to hear all your news. Will read it all again tomorrow when we find an internet in San Francisco & answer. Mum
Nice to hear from your next port of call - all sounds very exciting - I want to hear how you're getting on in your teeny bunk cabin?
Had a real result today as Julia (Hannah's Mum)had Jack for 2 hours today, with her Lauren (they came to our house to play) and I spent 1 1/2 hrs trying on all the clothes in my size in Beatties. Got 3 tops & a pair of jeans & came back and Jack was happily playing in the playroom with them having been asleep for 1 1/2 hours - He was more than happy with Julia - It was a lovely break.
Jack's really got his confidence with walking now, he sets off accross the kitchen now with a real look of determination & has learned to go on his knees if wobbly rather thaan on the back of his head - He still loves his Grandi! Rob's had 2 days smoozing with one of the company owners. He picked him up from his private jet on the runway & had 2 days taking him round his branches - he felt it went well. Thinking of you & glad you're having a great time.
Lots of love Abi XXX

Dear Mum and Dad
Have you made any friends yet?
We woke up to a huge blanket of snow and struggled to get out this morning, children really excited and making snowmen - very cold!
Burns night at Brownies and Isabella tried haggis, neaps and tatties, very unimpressed. Has to help with housework this week and if I don't sign her off she has to finish the haggis off next week.
We are going up to Scotland for half term and the children are looking forward to seeing their grandparents. Don's birthday on Monday, meeting up with the Tillings at Cadburys world and Jo is babysitting for us.
She is going to Brighton at the weekend with her friend Jo.
Missing you both, seems that you've been away ages already, is it really only three weeks? The Clockhouse is really cold and empty and I haven't seen anyone about, you were invited to the Chaponieres for drinks to meet the new people who are moving in.
Love from us allxxxx

Hope all is O.K. Abi XXX
p.s. Had to collect Georgie again from school this morning 'feeling poorly' 3 times recently so next time it will be straight to bed and perhaps coming home won't seem such a nice option!
