BRISBANE Australia

Dear JIAGGJ,
We met Ros Rolls (who used to live in Little Brickhill) and Dale and did a tour around the city together. It was lovely to see them both and Grandad and Dale could talk Golf! There was a Pop concert on in the park, we don`t know who was on but all the people queueing
to get in were young and dressed in grunge!
Last night it was a masked Ball and Grandad enjoyed creeping up behind the ladies with his mask on,(only the pretty ones!) I think he is going into a second childhood!
We think of you all and love you lots and lots,
Grandi xxxxxx

Comments:
Judy and Ian we must have passed each other around the harbour . We came off that night and walked to the Opera house that night. It was an unfogetable experience on board. Pleased to hear about the dancing!
Abi what was that about a pancake MIX! Tell John Brydon that Allan Crook (Aspley Guise) and his wife got on at LA to Sydney. He was surprisingly good company!
Bec whats that about being grounded?? There are brochures on the ship but we are not tempted. The QM2 world cruise is sold out next year and QE2 is nearly full.
Dunc can you video the shows?
Off now to Ros and Dale for a last cup of tea.

Dear Grandi,

I'm really pleased to hear your'e having a great time and I missed you on pancake day. Mummy did some pancakes for us instead.

Love,

Issy oxoxoxoxoxoxox

Duncs - You can have a Futon if you want to stay the Sat & It's definate for Rob, I, Jen & Georgie for your show (Linda's coming to look after Jack).

Mum & Dad, The news is really hotting up now - it sounds fantastic. I saw the Mail artice as well & we've stuck it on our map - couldn't see you on deck though! Wasn't Pancake MIX - it was the proper job. The diet is going REALLY well. I've just had a total re-vamp of the way I eat - Have just out chrisps, biscuits & chocs (apart from an occasional treat but just a small bar of choc not an enormous bar or a big bag of maltesars like I used to). No bread apart from Saturday and I'm still having a cup a soup and fruit for lunch and it's not really causing me a problem. Also I'm drinking gallons of water (and weeing for England!). Yesterday on the scales I was showing at UNDER 11 stone for the first timne so am DEAD CHUFFED. The aim is to get to 10 1/2 stone by my 40th, and then just maintaining it by eating sensibly. I have finally got on the exercise bike but could only manage 10 mins but it's a start and I do charge around so much in the daytime anyway.

Anyway - busy couple of days as Rob was away Thurs night at Lees Leaving do at a Posh Hotel in Smithfield London. Managed to get the kids to bed, tidied up & collapsed in front of the TV (Most unlike me these days). Rob's just taken Jen riding though think this might be her last lesson as she was in tears as she was worried about the horse pulling it's head down and being made to canter so seems to have really lost her nerve. Jack's snoozing in his pushchair & Georgie is watching TV (She hasn't watched TV all week - it doesn't seem to occur to them to watch it now as we haven't got a TV in their Playroom). I'm going to right a list of places we've missed & they can sticker the chart when Jen gets back (I feel a real sense of responsibility).

Beck says you have your calender. Could we stay with you and could you babysit on Fri May 11th (Alexander's Birthday) as we've been invited to the evening reception of Rob's Uncle Ray's marriage at 7.30 in Bourne End (can't ask Linda as she'll be going of course). Hope that's O.K.

Lots of love to you both - Missing you - Lots of love Abi XXXX

Mum
I've been caught out as the blog only goes back as far as Wellington New Zealand - Where did you go in between San Fransicso and LA and then?
Abi XXXX

Dear Mum and Dad
We have just returned from Little Brickhill and big surprise there is now a playground on the football pitch - 4 swings, a slide, climbing frame, basketball hoop, multi ball thrower and rocking horses, looks really nice.
Boring home stuff - how do you read the electricity meter, I can't find it and Siemens have been round twice to read it, so need to call with a reading.
Where did you say the Residents stuff went to (for treasurer)? Have only been able to leave a message on hospital answer phone, have tried five times to get someone but no one returns the calls so hope they will just send you a letter. Phoned in readings for electricity for Brighton but water was pretty much spot on. No rent bill from Brighton yet.
Lovely lunch in OGM with Ali, Maxine and Brenda. Alex at football today, getting serious he had to wear shin pads for the game and was extremely proud of them, he would have worn them to bed if I'd let him. Grace wants a pair too!
Love to you both
Beckyxxx

Dear Grandi,
I went horseriding but usually we go round the arena but yesterday we went hacking out rounds the lanes and a group of horses came galloping round the corner it scared me. Rebecca, Abi, Charlotte and Charlie accidentely let the sheep out of the farmers field, they had to run and get Zoe to help them get the sheep back in. I might not be going again as I lost my confidence but if I don't go back again maybe I'll go when I'm a little bit older and I have more confidence. Many kisses and hugs Love Jenni XXX p.s. Have done my stickers!!!

Sun: Nice day yesterday. Spent the aft in the Garden as Rob was sawing up all the branches that the gardeners over the fence had given me for firewood. The girls & I were pulling weeds out of the stones and Jack was sucking them (the stones not the weeds). Georgie had Holly's party at 'Having a Ball' at Malvern so we all went along & Jack had a great time playing with Lauren in the balls. Last night Gemma babysat and Rob & I had a really nice meal at the pub/Restaurent in Bransford - Rob had Quail, stuffed with Haggis on Black Pudding for starter (Ugh - thought Don would be impressed!), then Monkfish - I just had Steak & chips (ooops!) & bread. Got the obligatory Rice Pud in as entertaining & Rob is knocking up the Roast Beef for Andy Clarke, Toni & the big Boys who'll be here 12'ish. We're going to take them on our route march round Worcester after lunch.
Scanning the photo's worked but I cropped the posh one a bit too tightly and lost the top of Dad's head so will have another go. Lots of love to you both Abi XXXX

ABIGAIL

Have you worked out the archive section on the blog yet!!

It's on the left hand side near the top. Click on January 2007 and Feb 2007 and all the entries are still there.

Will let you know about the weekend.

Off to Natural History Museum tomorrow - tee hee.

DUNCAN
Abi and I have sorted out Brighton so we are coming to see you in your play. Just me and Issy, Don's going to take the other two to the park unless you have any ideas. Can you bring an idiots guide of how to get there with you at the weekend.
Mum and Dad
Amex bill arrived with two entries from QE2 in Miami, it was quite high so I will email you amounts to be on safe side.
Alex has tennis today and we're meeting up with Cathy and children for tea.
Love Becky

Jenni,
Just watch Scooby Doo to give yourself a fright, it's a lot cheaper and you don't have to move your bottom off the sofa.
Love Alexanderxxx

Mon: Jen & I are off to see X-Factor Live at B'Ham NEC tonight - Don't know who's more excited. Georgie just wants us to bring her back a 'Ray' Keyring. Beck & Don think I've become 'Holier than thou' with my tales of home cooking and lack of TV so I've got a lot to prove when they stay this weekend with all the delicious food I've been saying we cooked everyone else!
Beck: I just mean't kids Nighties & Toothbrushes - you & Don will have to bring some (Unless you want to give the neighbours a shock as we haven't got a blind on the landing yet!)
Abi XXXXX
p.s I forgot to say about our meal out on Sat that the decor was a bit dodgy - I felt like I was having dinner at an old folks home. Dodgy 1/2 net curtains & flowery curtains and very flowery carpet that didn't match - Rob thought it was O.K!
