COCHIN INDIA
Dear JIAGGJ,
Very, very hot!!
We cruised around the" backwaters " of Cochin to see the fishing boats and the rather run-down communities along the banks on a small boat (just for a change!) There were huge Chinese fishing nets over the water which were dropped down and then were pulled up with levers when they hoped they were full of fish. One caught a dolphin but lowered the net again to let it out - not allowed to catch them. Then we saw 2 dolphins swimming close by which made my day.
A special Indian dance was performed for us in a hotel and they pulled a lot of faces to tell a story. It takes 8 years for them to train to do this and I bet you could all do that already!
In India for 3 more days.

Abi so sorry to hear about Poppy it is always a risk with a wandering cat but it shows how resilient children are.
Did you invite M`s Mum ? she is probably feeling left out as well as whatever started it off.
Perhaps you could pop round at night when her husband is there and get it sorted? I know it is not your fault but there may be other issues that triggered it.

Perhaps you could pop round at night when her husband is there and get it sorted? I know it is not your fault but there may be other issues that triggered it.

Hi Mum & Dad,
Your news sounds great - hope Dad's O.K. & keeping pace.
Had a nice sleepover at Nanny's. I went to see Girls Night Too with Beck & Cathy (Good fun & Beck really cheered me up by giving me 'Casino Royal' so am looking forward to watching Malcolm's 2 minutes of fame) & Rob had a good night out at City Limits. Linda was a star and had the children in the morning (I had a lie in until 9.30!!!) & Rob even later (he did need it though as he's been working really hard - not to mention the rather late night he'd had!) and then she took them all up to the park. Over to Becks this pm & had a nice walk round the Lakes (Alexander collected us lots of 'kingling' wood for the fire).Had a sharp reminder of how really good our lives are as went to see Katie on her birthday and she was really really sad as she was really missing her Mum.
Difficult to invite someone anywhere when they are blatantly ignoring you & feel my trying to reason may only inflame the situation so best just left be.
Will keep you posted of any developments!

Dunc: On my birthday I will be back after the dentists (only 1/2 hour appt at Broughton 3.50 so will be around then for however long everyone else is. Looking forward to seeing you then Abi XXXX

Had a nice sleepover at Nanny's. Hi Folks
Ab, looking forward to the 2nd too, I'll be a lot more relaxed by then as the play will be over. It's this W/T/F. We have a technical rehearsal tomorrow and a dress rehearsal on Tuesday. Feeling pretty confident about it now and actually looking forward to it. After that it's Sweet Charity all the way!
Can I also borrow Casino Royale when I see you?
Mum, good to hear the news. Bad news from my end is I have to fly out on the 16th April. I tried for later but as they're already making an exception for me (they wanted the 2nd) and I did originally say I was available from the 16th I don't really have a leg to stand on - Bec, can you get M and D on the Saturday?
I'll make sure the car is in MK, clean and with petrol before I go. Not ideal but will have the blog set up and maybe you can head out to Turkey for a week sometime over the season.

Hi Mum & Dad - Monday:
I need a diplomatic medal - I have made peace! (Had a long talk with Gary at School then Wendy phoned me). How long it lasts we shall see!, but feel like a weights lifted anyway. Saw Auntie Josie after school, she's feeling much brighter now the weather's better -she sends her love (& has your Cruise Photo that I gave her a copy of - The Glam one - in pride of place on her cabinet!) Sent the kids home with Royal Worcester Thimbles & a big bag of lolly pops. Real result as got 2 DVD's of Jack's Christening in the post from Alex - What a Star! Was actually really good to look at it a year later to see how all the children have grown up (Had to say I wouldn't have been able to pick Jack out in a line up, he looks so different now!).
