GOA INDIA

Dear JIAGGJ,
Not what we expected!
Although a bit cleaner than Cochin - our guide said that people caught "smoking, spitting and piddling" in public were fined, it still looks pretty grotty.
In Old Goa , 2 churches have been restored and some of the old Portuguese houses are in good repair and preserved but there are lots of shanty towns and poor people. The markets are loaded with fruit and spices and smelly fish and people.
Grandad doesn`t want to leave the ship in Mumbai but the tours are booked!!
Love you all,Grandi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Mum & Dad,
Tue night: Georgie knows all about Diwali - we still have the candle to prove it. Bec has sorted out your registration with Matthew. Saying it's good to have a sister - Don't leave Dunc's out (he's still very sensitive about his lack of Poem) He's been pretty cool too (Ah!) - we've had more contact through the blog than we've had with Dunc's for ages so just have to make sure we keep up with Dunc's blog so enthusiastically - don't want him to think he's unpopular! Had a bit of a search and destroy in Jenni's bedroom whilst she was at school she has little bags and boxes full of 'stuff' everwhere - under her bed, in her desk, under her desk so two Tesco carrier bags of stuff 'disappeared' and I haven't even made a dent - don't know how it got so out of control just in 6 months! Feeling a bit feeble as given blood this evening - bit of a palavar as just on the cusp of being able to donate as my blood was a bit weedy then they struggled to get the full allocation out & it was nearly a wasted effort but just crept in with enough - phew! Must be cos I'm so slinky now - there's not enough blood to spare any extra.
Really looking forward to you coming home now - Been such a long time. Georgie was arguing with Jenni about the Teddy Santa Pot and said Jenni couldn't have it as it was precious as Grandi had given it to her and Grandi had gone away. Quite a biggie from one of my two as they are usually very blase about everything. Make the most of every last moment it sounds fantastic. Lots of love to you both Abi XXXXXXX

Jo: Finally getting my head back together & getting back on top of things - Thanks for being such a good friend last week it's great to know you're only at the end of the phone. Beck said you might come to Brighton Easter Sunday when they're joing us - Fancy coming Saturday & staying overnight - it would be nice to have you. Lots of love Abi XXX

Dunc: How's it going???????? Hope you didn't get stagefright!

Sounds like a fab time, please get off the boat in mumbai as that is where our call centre is and the LOVELY Miles suggested I may like to connsider a transfer to!!!
Have had a weekend in Brighton I think that you will notice alot of changes the next time you go down, I tried to keep the colour scheme the same after the party! but could only get canary yellow paint at such short notice.... ONLY JOKING. Liz and Clive have had a visit and the flat next door with the young people in had an all night party, shame it was not this weekend I would of joined them.
Have bought my wedding outfit for Mums wedding and would of valued your opion, I got it from L K Bennnets of London in Brighton which is at the start of the lanes, only one month to go now until they get married.
Have FUN and enjoy the rest of your trip and I am looking forward to a seeing you both when you are back.
Take care Love Joxxxx

Mum & Dad - Thurs am:
Feeling VERY tired as had a late night last night and am out CLUBBING with Julia and Sue tonight for our Birthday's - BossaNova 'Over 25's night'!. Last night went with Julia & her Mum to see her sister Ally performing in Gilbert & Suillivans 'Merrie England' She had a starring role as the Witch. Enjoyed it but could have done with 1/2 an hour less. Then had a real worry when dropping Julia's Mum off as heard alot of banging and crashing round by the side gate like someone was scrabbling over the gate (Definately wasn't an animal) Julia really got the wind up as both her Mum & that Man next door were burgled 3 years ago and they are opposite a recreation area & all the houses were in darkness so we phoned the phone who luckily came out very quickly & checked there hadn't been a break-in. Bit scary though! Didn't get to bed till midnight.
Hopefully Jack will let me take it easy today so work myself up for tonight. Big job for this week has been making Easter Bonnets for School on Fri so they've stuck loads of fluffy chicks and ribbons on there's & look pretty fab!
Beck: How did Alex get on????

First night of the play went well, probably better than most of the people involved were expecting.
Two more nights and then it's all over. Hopefully at that point I'll feel let down rather than relieved.

Don't worry about me and being sensitive - I'll cope (sob sob)

Dear Mum and Dad
Hope you had your wet wipes with you, it must have been hard to refrain from piddling in public until you got back to the ship! Hope Grandad gets a second wind in a manner of speaking!
I have spoken to Les who is over working at the Clockhouse and will put on the water at some point, I have sent a cheque off for the Brighton ground rent.
Dates as requested - 42nd Street booked for Friday 6 July at 7.30pm. Don and I have got tickets for Sat 21 July Dancing Queen at 8pm, we were hoping you could babysit but obviously not if you have visitors. Alex birthday party Sat 12 May 2.15pm and Issy birthday Sunday 27 May 2 - 4pm and BBQ Monday 28 May 2pm - phew!
Missing you both
Love Becky
