Pattaya (2nd day)

Dear JIAGGJ,
We met a friend of Grandads (yes he does have one!) We met them at a Thai Restaurant overlooking the beach out of Pattaya and his Thai wife chose all the food so it was really good. They had a little girl called Lucy who was 4.Paul has been in Thailand for 12 years and still doesn't speak the language. In the afternoon we sat in a bar on the beach which had a breeze blowing through and just sat listening to the sea.
Today (on Paul,s recommendation) we have been to the Blind Institute for a massage, a first for Grandad, which was much better than Whittlebury Hall tell your Mums and only cost 5 pounds each! Even after a shower we are like a couple of oil-slicks!
Now we are going to collect Grandads glasses because he had to have them repaired as Grandi had sat on them.
Again very, very very hot.
Love you all my little ones,
Grandi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Mum & Dad,
We all had a nice Mothers Day (Dunc: Even the lady Vicar in Church said 'it's more commonly known as Mother's Day' and she said 'it's not the proper day as there is an actual Mothers Day recognised worldwide but it's a different day to the one we celebrate in the UK - Who says the understimulated third child doesn't know 'stuff'!
Dunc - 4 tickets is right for us.
and Mum yes it was Minnie's Mum - situation still not improved!

We had a nice Mothers Day - I got a proper lie in till 9am (proper meaning Rob actually took them out of the room and didn't lie in bed with his eyes closed 'pretending' to be supervising!) Full Church at Crown East (though they had invited the Brownies & Guides) and got my little posies of Daffodills. We had lunch at The Bank House Hotel, though just managed main course as Jack was getting a bit fidgity and didn't fancy the puddings so all had a Magnum Ice Cream from Bransford Garage and ate dessert in the car on the drive at home - dining in style! - Had a wander round the village then after getting the kids to bed Rob hot footed it to Yardley Gobion for an overnighter as he had a 6am flight to Nice. Travelling home as we speak as his plane got diverted then cancelled so he ended up on a flight to Gatwick with his car at Luton - Should in back in his car by now but he's not had much luck in the International Jetsetting Department!
Jenni had her last dance class after school and they put on a display for the parents - She was really cool. I was taking note as Julia, Sue and I are going clubbing for our birthdays (Sue's is 2nd April too) and we're going on a Thursday night to a club in Worcester - over 25's night - Live Music & Disco. I suggested to Julia that she comes round with Lauren on the Friday morning after and we can take turns to have a sleep! (Showing my age!).
Lots of love to you all Abi XXXX

Dear Mum and Dad
Don feeling better, although a bit washed out after being sick all weekend. Just trying to catch up with everything as have lost the plot a bit.
The house was in the mews up from us, a three bedroom and they wanted £225.00. It was really shabby after being let out but quite a nice lay out with the kitchen at the front and a living room/dining room at the back.
Busy week as Alexander has to be back a school three nights this week for rehearsals. Big annual play (like Humpty Dumpty), he has a poem to say and a bird dance! Three performances next week at 6pm plus visiting Middle School and Denbigh! Do you want to see any thing at the theatre with me? 42nd street with Paul Nicholas Tue 3 - Sat 7 Jul, possible Thur or Fri 6 Jul? Dancing Queen (Abba musical) Sat 21 Jul? What dates are we going to LLandudno?
Duncs - yes two tickets please, Don is going to try and find Snakes and Ladders with Alex and Grace - the things he does for me...
Abi - Issy cried for ages when I tried to break the news to her that Jenni couldn't come to her party with her school friends. She was so upset that I am trying to find her another party that she can do on the Sunday afternoon so Jenni can still come - oh I'm so fed up with blooming parties... I'm trying to get my deposit back from the other one. So keep from 2pm on the Sunday free for Jenni.
Trying to do the Fire Safety badge with Isabella at 7.30am this morning as she is being tested for that tonight at Brownies, I tell you if there's ever an emergency send the Morrisons in we are primed and ready!
Love to you both
PS I'm not sure if I fancy a massage from a blind person, I hope they started at the right end!

I've been looking at the QEII webcam from the bridge - a bit dark at the mo in the South China Sea! Glad you are still having fun.Wonderful geography lesson for your grandchildren. Love Sheila

Hi Mum & Dad
Rather nice morning as Gemma had Jack for 2 hours (he only found me once!) and Mr Tesco came with my shopping bags & it's the nice chap who brings the bags in without being asked (Don't like the man who won't bring the bags in as'Tesco don't cover him for that' - not sure what he thinks I'm going to do to him!). Booked my first Dentist Appt with Matthew on my 40th birthday - Party! Party!Beck had to go for 3.50 so we may get to Dobbies just a little bit earlier. Are going to Brighton on the Tuesday Evening now,(after Rob finishes work) until Sunday so we'll have quite a nice long break. Jill & Charlotte and Harriet are coming down on the train on the Thurs to spend the day with us. Had the kids parents evening tonight - Bit of a nightmare with Jack running riot as Georgie's teacher started badly with her first slot of 10 minutes running over to 1/2 hour & guess who's Mum that was? Both girls got glowing reports academically but Jen is apt to bend the truth to get herself out of trouble, rather than owning up (when she gets grassed on by the others!) and Georgie and her little friends are all getting a bit niggly with each other so they are focussing on being nice and kind to other people - Bless!
I had a bit of a 'Ahh' moment with Jack today - I'd changed his nappy and gave him the nappy bag and told him to put it by the back door and off he toddled with it - he looked soooooo sweeeeet - Sadly he toddled back again with it and toffled around with it for a while but he almost had the right idea.
Thursday night we've got Marie and Robin (from The Orkneys) staying overnight on the way back to Portugal so that should be interesting - am really looking forward to seeing her again.
Lots of love to you all.

Becks: A real shame to change all your plans again - the party season is fraught enough as it is -Do you want me to have a chat to whizzer, see if I can explain that things aren't wuite so easy now. We can do the Sunday no problem but it does seem a little bit hard on you if she'll see Jenni the next day on her birthday anyway?

Ab/Bec - I have your tickets for the Matinee. There is no escape!
