MAHE SEYCHELLES
Dear JIAGGJ,
Beautiful island with green covered hills and white sandy deserted beaches. The giant tortoises roam freely in some parts. The famous coco de mer palm trees have nuts that take 45 years to grow (that is older than your Dads!) and sell for 75 pounds.
Grandad and I had a lovely swim in the warm water of the Indian Ocean amongst the fish. Mouths were firmly closed!
Missing you all - home in 19 days.
Lots of love,
Grandi xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Mon 10pm.
Not been long home, unpacking the bags (did we really have that much stuff for overnight!) & all my lovely presents - Wish I could have a 40th every year.
Rob, Beck, Jo & Dunc - I love you all so much as you really spoilt me.
It all became clear why Bec was so adament I shouldn't go to the Dentists on my birthday as I arrive at Dobbie's Garden Centre to find Alex, Val, Emma, Max, Gwyn (kids),Heather (kids), Jill (kids), Lucy (& Josh). Rob had let the cat out of the bag a little but I was really surprised to see Alex & Val having received the Christening DVD from them last week (a good double bluff!) & Lucy and Josh were a lovely surprise. Linda came over with us as well so we had a lovely lunch.
BEC: Thank you so much for arranging it all as you obviously went to a lot of trouble (and sorry I made it so difficult for you) Matthew was pleased with the birthday cake anyway.
An earlier lovely surprise was arriving at Linda's at 12 to a birthday cake VERY decorated by the girls & they'd had Linda on lookout so had the candles lit & sang to me as I came in.
Rob & I had a really quiet night & peaceful morning at the Hatton Court Hotel - though not all to plan as they don't do room service so had to go for brekfast at 8.45am and then didn't have newspaper deliveries so I didn't get my paper in bed. It was all looking a little bit in need of some loving attention as well - shame! However: Did have an enormous soak in the big corner bath and a nice leisurely start to the day.
Mum: Rob's got me 2 midweek passes to Whittlebury for the Rasul (Mud thingy) - He thought it would be nice for us to get some 'quality time in when you get back' - I'm well up for that - Beck: could you swing a day out midweek?
He also got me a Royal Worcester Mug 'Size Matters' with a huge fat lady with a big box of chocs and a really skinny man - I said 'Don't flatter yourself!
Bec, Dunc & Jo got me a beautiful heart necklace with a pearl in it and matching pearl earrings.
I remembered where I'd put your pressie so thank you for my Tuesday and Thursday girls they're lovely.
Much love to everyone - a VERY tired - VERY lucky & VERY happy Birthday Girl - Abi XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
